Nora Nakaiy
Nora is the 17th nakaiy of the Hulhangu Monsoon. lights winds, some sun shine and light showers.
Fishing is generally good during this period.
WEATHER
Partly cloudy with scattered showers and few thunderstorms in southern and central atolls. Showers are expected to be light with few becoming a thunderstorm. 14 days of showers are expected during the month of November, with average temperature at 27 degrees Celsius. Expect to get around 6 hours of sunshine on average every day. Not bad for a 6 hour fishing trip. For this month fishing arsenal, be sure to pack a rain coat – just for good measure.
WIND
Hulhangu winds during Nora blows northwesterly at 4 – 11 mph in nothern atolls, south-west / westerly at 6 -15 mph elsewhere. Winds are expected to be at an average speed of 8 mph. Seas are expected to be calm becoming moderate during showers. Seas are expected to get a bit bumpy as the sea current become unsettled for the coming of Iruvai monsoon. Clears sea is excellent for snorkeling and diving.
FISHING
It’s the second nakai of fishing season. Fishing is generally good during this period. Fishing peaks from 16th November till 23rd November. 8 days in this nakaiy are major days for fishing.
Early morning trolling for Wahoo is excellent during this period. Expect to catch large Wahoo’s in the outskirt of reef.
Since we cannot get a full moon during this nakaiy, the next best days to go night fishing is during 16th and 19th. Weekend anglers better use these days for some local fishing during the holidays.
TOP CATCH
Tuna is famous during this period, Yellow Fin Tuna (kanneli) and Wahoo (kurumas).
